Phillip Eugene “Cotton” Cotton, 55, of Malvern passed away January 19, 2014. Phillip was born June 3, 1958 in Malvern to Treva (Reynolds) and Gene Cotton. Phillip was a proud member of ABATE. He was a Hippie Holler regular and loved to work the benefits. Phillip was a loving father, and a friend to everyone who knew him. He kept a positive outlook on life even through his illness, and he always had a way to just make people smile.
Phillip is predeceased by his father, Homer Eugene Cotton Jr.; two grandfathers: Homer Cotton Sr. and John Reynolds; and two grandmothers: Elsie Cotton and Hazel Reynolds.
Phillip is survived by his mother, Treva Cotton; sister, Sandra Brooks of Malvern; two sons: Adam (Samantha) Cotton of Mabelvale and Michael Cotton of Maumelle; special friend, Sherry Peterson of Malvern; two grandchildren, Skyler and Scotty Vest of Mabelvale; nephew, Andrew Brooks of Malvern; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Kevin Hunt and Bro. Pete Eifert officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Corey Peterson, Bryan Loy, Ken Dybalski, Harold Nix, Brent Davis, Chris Simmons, and Scotty Vest. Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Collins, Hippie Holler Bunch, ABATE District 12, and Sam Carman.
